The idea of flight
As birds fly high in the sky, Man thinks about flying like the birds. In about 400 BCE ( Before Christ Era ) people in China have been admired by the idea of flight like birds. All of us see the birds fly , sing in the sky and they wondered why we can't fly like these birds. This is the question they asked themselves. They were in the habit of flying kites in their special ceremonies as well as for testing the weather. These information will be important for us to learn about the history of travel. The idea of balloons and gliders came from using the kites.
Man's attempt to fly
We all see the birds fly in the sky and ancient people observed this view, so they tried to imitate the birds while they are flying. He made wings like the bird's wings , but they were bigger to fit with their bodies. They made them from different materials then. But since the body of the Man is strong , they won\t be able to fly like the birds.
Aeolipile
Aiolibel was created by an Alexandrian hero, an ancient Greek engineer who merged multiple sources of power. It produces a circular movement when steam jets are used on it.Place a kettle filled with water directly over the fire.Euliply was placed on top of the boiler.Water condenses into steam, which enters and rotates the ball.Because he was the first to act, this is noteworthy. In aircraft, engines have a long and famous history.

1485 – Leonardo da Vinci studies flight
The pioneer of studying flight is Leonardo da Vinci was the first man who started to study flight. He was fond of the idea of flying , he drew a lot of pictures for the process of flying. He drew tools carrying people and flying. He also illustrates the mechanical options of flying. The design depicts devices that lift people into the air, as well as apparatus for testing wings, tails, and wings of birds.
Leonardo da Vinci drew the Ornithopter to demonstrate his concept of how man could fly, but it was never built. Leonardo's sketches were examined by the early aviation inventors. The ornithopter was instrument that helped in building helicopter.
The first air balloon
Joseph and Jacques Montgolfier were the first to invent a hot air balloon. He used a he balloon a silk bag to made the balloon and it was attached to a basket carrier.Smoke from a fire caused hot air to blow into the silk bag and created conditions for the silk bag to be lighter than air. Can you imagine that the duck, rooster and sheep were the very first passengers to fly in the balloon. It flew to a height of 6,000 feet and covered a mile distance.
The brothers sent passengers up in their hot air balloons after their trial flight succeeded. On November 21, 1783, Jean-Francois Pilatre de Rozier and Francois Laurent shared in the first manned flight.
George Cayley and the glider, 1799-1850Sir George Cayley, the pioneer of aerodynamics, distinguished the forces that act on object in flight. These are lift, drag, thrust, and gravity. He designed different types of wings. he thought of the role of the tail. He made different types of gliders and he tried . His glider is the first to carry humans in flight.
Sir George Cayley refined his glider over the course of 50 years. He performed wing adjustments to ensure optimal air flow on the wing.A tail was created to achieve stability.A biplane design was used to provide strength to the glider. He realised that in order for his glider to stay aloft for an extended period of time, he needed machine power.
