Driverless cars

Introduction

People born in ten years from now will probably never learn how to drive. Why? Because our cars won 't need drivers and computers will do all the work for us. There are already driverless cars in many places, but at the moment ,they are only being tested . The computers they use must be able to recognise other vehicles , respond to people and things on the road, and know when the car must slow down or stop

For some people, the idea of a car without a driver is a frightening though . However, experts say that 90 of accidents are because of mistakes made by people. Often it is because people are talking on their phones or feeling tired. With driverless cars, people are free to send texts, or even sleep, without danger.

Technology in making cars

The computers in driverless cars sl1ould also make it faster to travel around cities because they will choose the best way. They will also cause less pollution because there will less cars.

But how safe are these cars? Some people say that they do not work well in bad weather so far , there have been at least 12 accidents with driverless cars in America. (although of these were caused by other cars. So, it might take a long time for people to feel relaxed to read a book while they travel.

Rapid changes

It is a widely-known fact that we live in the age of rapid changes of everything. No one can expect what advancement might take place in an hour from now. The field that witnesses the most change is communication , technology ,especially social media. Social media is different from traditional media. In the past media was created from one place , normally a company. Then the company would send out the media to consumers. Magazines, books and movies are all examples of this. But with social media, many individual people in different.

Modern Technology

locations create content. Another difference is that people who produce content in social media don't need very special skills. On the other hand, in traditional media, people need special skills to produce something. Another difference is that social media can be produced much faster. lt takes only a few minutes to write a twitter post, for example. But it c take many months to put together a magazine, or years to make a movie.

My experience

I had to talk to a man from a company that produces new cars. And he said that there were a lot of cars that we produce every day. I asked him about the qualities I should have to get a job in this big factory for cars. He told me that I must join the faculty of engineering and get high scores to be a professional engineer.

Furthermore, I must be interested in the new technology and the latest ways in producing new cars that are greener for the environment. So I have decided what I want to do as a job now.

I want to be an engineer for producing new cars. This will be an interesting job. It will make my life better and satisfy my needs.
